BPM declaration with vulation
Currently, there is a lot of delay at the Dutch Tax Office for luxury tax declarations of vehicles which have got calculations based on valuations. The Dutch registration can only be achieved once the amount of tax due is determined. Since the Tax Office often disagrees with the amount based on a valuation, the registration is not achieved on a reasonable notice. This makes taking delivery of your vehicle on short notice nearly impossible.
Solution
However, there is a solution for this problem. The government is said to be taking measures soon, so that the Dutch registration is acquired even though there is no final ruling on the amount of luxury tax yet. This way, the unnecessary delays should be a thing of the past.
