New Xenon laws
From the first of May this year, the new Xenon legislation is in effect. Xenon lights are also known as High Intenity Discharge headlights. As of the first of May, all vehicles which are approved to be imported into Holland, need to have head light washers and automatic light leveling. For vehicles which are not equipped with these features, VDS can offer the followgin services:
2) Installing headlight washers and automatic light leveling
The easiest solution is to replace the Xenon units with halogen units. This means replacing the entire unit, not just the light bulb. Since the unit has to be made specifically for the corresponding bulb, only replacing the bulb itself is not an option. We can supply halogen head light untis for most vehicles.
If you want to keep the Xenon head lights for the vehicle, the installation has got te be adapted. The complexity of changing the installation, obviously relates to the costs for the conversion.
